Reflections from the Saints
"It should be our principal business to conquer ourselves and, from day to day, to go on increasing in strength and perfection. Above all, however, it is necessary for us to strive to conquer our little temptations... For in this way we shall acquire strength to subdue greater ones."

I will continue to practice this... it takes A LOT of practice...
St. Francis de Sales also tells us to be patient, especially with ourselves. Another is when we slip and fall in our quest for perfection to pick ourselves us gently and try again.
